WHISTLER, BC, CANADA
Nestled in the Coastal Mountains of British Columbia, Whistler Resort is only a 75 mile drive from Vancouver along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway. The Resort offers visitors ski-in, ski-out convenience from our West Coast pedestrian village to our two magnificent side-by-side mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb.
Rated tops by skiers for quality and extent of terrain, extensive lift system, abundant snow, and friendly service, Whistler Resort is a natural choice for your next ski trip.
Whistler and Blackcomb combined offer more than 200 trails and runs, six massive alpine bowls, and three glaciers. The mountains have the two greatest vertical drops in North America, with Blackcomb rising one vertical mile (5,280 feet) and Whistler rising 5,020 feet. All of this is serviced by 38 lifts, 4 gondolas, 18 chairlifts and 16 surface lifts. Whistler Blackcomb's award-winning big mountain experience just got a whole lot bigger! The record-breaking new PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola links together Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains for the first time. Boasting the longest unsupported lift span in the world at 3.024 kilometers (1.88 miles), it's also the highest lift of its kind at 415 meters ( 1,361 feet).
Whistler hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. With an annual snowfall of 28 feet, complemented by year round glaciers and extensive snowmaking, Whistler provides a winter season running from November straight through June with summer skiing continuing until September.
